October 10, 2012, BEVERYLY HILLS - Olympic medalist Marlen Esparza has signed with United Talent Agency for representation to build her career in film, television and social media, also collaborating on several other aspects of Marlen’s career.  UTA joins Marlen's professional team comprising manager Robert Thorne, publicist Natalie Mikolich, Katlyn Townsend of American Program Bureau for public speaking, and Jan Miller and Nena Madonia of Dupree/Miller & Associates for publishing.  Thorne with his longtime business partner Greg Redlitz will lead fashion and beauty licensing for Marlen to launch Fall 2013.
 
Marlen, a beautiful but tough competitor who was the first Olympic medalist in women's boxing ever, at the Summer Games in London, has been called the "Golden Girl of Sponsorships” as she enjoys extensive print and primetime TV coverage from sponsorships with Coca-Cola, CoverGirl, Nike and McDonalds.  The influential media journal Advertising Age remarks, “She breaks the molds on many levels, from perceptions about Latina gender roles to a fresh appreciation of beauty from a Mexican-American perspective, a look too often left out of the traditional color and style palette.”  Building her Hollywood, publishing and speaking career and her fashion and beauty licensing program, Marlen will train for the 2016 Olympic Summer Games in Rio and study pre-med to become a pediatric psychiatrist.
