On the board
Top goal: To present a stellar panel session at the 2016 PRSA International Conference and host our first national networking event specifically for those who work in sports and entertainment PR.
Opportunity: South Florida is one of the largest growing sports business communities in the U.S., whether in public relations/communications or other areas such as event operations, marketing, sales and partnership activation.
Getting there: In this industry, it is important to first learn the fundamentals and receive an education and degree in public relations, to gain experience through internships and jobs. Relationships with those we work with, including the media, are developed over time. Networking events such as #SBWeek Miami and organizations like PRSA help with career development, resources and creating a strong network.
